History :Wabasso is a city in Redwood County, Minnesota. The population was 739 at the 2020 census. Founded in 1900, Wabasso derives its name from the Ojibwe word for “snowshoe hare” or more generally “rabbit”. Wabasso is a full-service community located in the heart of Redwood County, Minnesota.
